Terms & Conditions

Payments:

1. A 50% payment of the lesson fee is required at the time of booking, prior to starting the lessons. The remaining payment must be made before the 4th lesson.
2. If you have booked less than 5 classes, full payment is required at the time of booking.
3. We accept payments made by credit card, direct bank transfer, Paypal, check in USD Dollar, or cash at our offices located at 205 National HWY, Thomasville NC 2760.
4. All financial bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.
5. Once the deposit has been made, we will reserve your teacher and send you a confirmation email. We will then contact you promptly to introduce you to your teacher, confirm your lesson schedule, and provide the location details.
6. For French lessons at our school, we provide complimentary refreshments such as mineral water, juice, tea, coffee, fruit, biscuits, and other treats to keep you alert during your lessons.
7. Please inform us of any specific needs you may have, and we will make every effort to accommodate your requirements.

Duration of Contracts:

1. Each contract will specify the terms of the French course, including the start and end dates, rates, and schedule.
2. All contracts expire 6 months after the date of your first lesson.
3. After 6 months, the student is not eligible for a refund for any remaining lessons.
4. JACKBUH SERVICES reserves the right to cancel a course, offer alternative dates or venues, and make changes to course arrangements as required.

Cancellation & Refund Policies:

Private French Classes:

1. Cancellation of a private French class without penalty is only accepted if made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
2. If cancellation is received within less than 24 hours, the student will be charged at the regular rate.

Group French Classes:

1. If only one student is present during weekly micro group classes, the lessons will be upgraded to private individual lessons, and the hourly duration will be shortened by 50%.
2. Cancellation before the course begins: If cancellation notice is received by JACKBUH SERVICES more than 14 days before the course starting date, 80% of the course fees paid will be refunded. If cancellation is received less than 14 days before the course starting date, 50% of the course fees will be charged.
3. Cancellation after the course has started: If the student is unable to complete the number of weeks of lessons booked, a cancellation fee equivalent to one week's course fees will be charged.
4. Reimbursement: Reimbursement amounts are calculated based on the number of whole weeks remaining on the course prior to the student's premature departure. Reimbursements will be refunded to the original payment method (bank, credit card, or Paypal) at the end of the course, referring to the last date specified on the booking form.

Late Enrollment:

1. There is no final registration date for courses, but it is recommended to book at least 1 month before the course starting date to secure your spot.

Punctuality:

1. If your teacher is delayed by public transport and arrives late for a lesson, the lost time will be added to the end of the lesson or the following lesson.
2. Our teachers will wait for you for 20 minutes from the scheduled start time. If you haven't arrived within this time, the lesson will be canceled, and no refund will be provided.

Class Expenses:

1. Private French lessons may take place in cafés or other public places around North Carolina. In such cases, the student is responsible for paying for both their own and the teacher's expenses (e.g., coffee, museum tickets, etc.).
2. Students' expenses for the teacher should generally not exceed $5 for a beverage or the entry price of a site.
3. Homework: Students may request homework or e-homework assignments, which the teacher will correct during class time. If the student requests homework to be corrected outside of class, an additional fee may apply based on the time spent on correction.

Reimbursement/Exchanges:

1. Students can only exchange their course for a course of similar value.
2. Students who choose to exchange their original course for one of greater value must pay the price difference at the time of requesting the upgrade.
3. Students may transfer their French lesson credit to a friend or family member if they are unable to use it personally within the 6-month timeframe of the contract.

Insurance:

1. We strongly recommend that students purchase travel insurance to cover medical, repatriation, and other costs in the case of an accident or emergency.

Limitation of Liability:

1. The student releases and discharges all contractors of JackBuh Services from any and all liability resulting from any injuries sustained during their French lessons.

Privacy Policy:

1. We keep all personal information you provide to us confidential, including your name, email/postal address, and telephone number.
2. We use your personal information for purposes related to your private French lessons and to gain an understanding of your linguistic objectives.

Photography & Videography:

1. JACKBUH SERVICES reserves the right to use photographs taken during courses for promotional purposes.
2. If you do not want your photo to appear in promotional material, please inform us when registering.

Competent Jurisdiction and Applicable Law:

1. In the event of litigation, the courts of Davidson County shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any dispute.
